Good news for players looking forward to try out the new Nearby feature: Niantic announced yesterday that it was to be expanded to more areas. Which ones? The following:
- the rest of the continental United States
- large parts of Europe (including France)
As always, if you have any feedback, make sure to let the developers know via social media!
Also, the developers confirmed on Twitter that they were aware of a bug causing delayed loading, and that they were already working on a fix. In the mean time, users can a simple (but effective) workaround: restarting the app.

Arceus distribution
Missed the Arceus distribution? You can now get it again using the following Serial codes:
- North America: “ARCEUS20”
- Europe: “ARCEUS2016”
The Serial Code has to be redeemed in Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire before December 31st. Please note that you will not be able to get Arceus a second time if you already got it during the previous distribution.
Meloetta distribution
Here’s the trailer for the Meloetta distribution, which is now live in Europe and North America:
If you have a European or North America copy of Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire, you can now get Meloetta (the last Mythical Pokémon distribution for the 20th Anniversary of the Pokémon series). This time around, you do not have to go anywhere to get it: simply launch the game while being connected to the internet, and select Mystery Gift > Receive Gift > Get Via Internet.
