Pokémon Sun and Moon: very first details to be revealed on May 10th

Pokemon Sun and MoonPokémon Sun and Moon were announced on February 26th/27th, on the very day the Pokémon series turned 20 in Japan. Unfortunately, the reveal “trailer” didn’t include a single second of actual footage (or even a single screenshot): just some concept-art, and… that’s pretty much it. Fortunately, it looks like the wait is almost over, as we’re getting the very first proper details about the latest mainline entry next week.

Today, it was announced that proper details about Pokémon Sun and Moon would be revealed next week, on May 10th. The news will come at 9PM JST to be precise (see time for each region below), but it’s not quite sure if there will be a livestream, a trailer, or just details and screenshots. One thing’s for sure: it’s happening next week!

Here’s the time for each region:

  • Europe: 2PM
  • UK: 1PM
  • North America (EST): 8AM
  • North America (PST): 5AM
  • Japan: 9PM

Even Junichi Masuda (Series Director) tweeted the news, first announced via the official website, which implies this will be something more noteworthy than the “reveal” trailer from February.

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon (3DS) will be released in time for the holiday period in Japan, Europe, and North America.
