Yesterday, The Pokémon Company announced that Pokkén Tournament would be at the CEO 2016, in Orlando (from June 24th to June 26th). This will be an official event, which will allow players to earn Championship Points, and maybe make it to the Pokémon World Championships 2016 in Boston. Pokkén Tournament will be played using a double elimination format.

Mew distribution

Yesterday, the distribution for Celebi started in Europe and North America. The Pokémon Company uploaded a trailer for this distribution:

Unlike Mew, you won’t have to go anywhere to get Celebi: all you need is an internet connection, since this distribution is done via the Nintendo Network. To get it, you need to follow the steps below:

  • Launch the game
  • Select Mystery Gift
  • Select Receive Gift
  • Select Get Via Internet
  • Select your save data
  • Talk to the delivery girl to get your Pokémon
  • Save your game

Battle competition

Yesterday, a new battle competition for Pokémon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire was announced: the 2016 International Challenge March. Previously announced only for Japan, it’s now been confirmed for Europe and North America. The Pokémon Company also confirmed that the top players would also receive Championship Points, which will allow them to qualify for the Pokémon World Championships 2016 (in Boston).

Here’s the rules:

  • Battles: Double Battle
  • Rules: VGC rules
  • Legendary Pokémon allowed (only two from that list): Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde.
  • Registration: from March 17th to March 24th
  • Battles: from March 25th to March 27th.
  • Reward: 2000 PokéMiles (all entrants).
