Pokémon news (July 20th) – Pokémon Shuffle: new challenges and daily Pokémon

Today, a new update for Pokémon Shuffle went live (Ver. 1.2.8). It gives you access to:

1) a new challenge, featuring Mega Blaziken. If you’re among the best players in your region, you will be able to get a Blazikenite for your Blaziken, but also another reward. Here’s what you can get:

– Top 16 000 players in Europe / 65 000 players in Japan: Complexity-1
– Top 12 000 players in Europe / 20 000 players in North America / 50,000 players in Japan: Blazikenite
– Top 4 000 players in Europe / 15 000 players in Japan: Blazikenite + Mega Speedup
– Not ranked: one Jewel.

This challenge runs until July 27th (5AM UTC).

2) a new Escalation Battle (difficulty up and better rewards each time you beat it, and easier to catch the Pokémon at high levels), featuring Cresselia. Here’s some of the rewards you can get:

– Level 5: Moves +5
– Level 10: Disruption Delay
– Level 30: Mega Start
– Level 50: Mega Speedup

This challenge runs until August 3rd (6AM UTC).

3) a new challenge featuring Wobbuffet, where you don’t need to pay in order to use items. Also, a new item will be added each week:

– July 20th: Mega Start
– July 27th: Disruption Delay
– August 3rd: Attack Power Up
– August 10th: Complexity -1

This challenge runs until August 15th (6AM UTC).

4) a “new” batch of Daily Pokémon:

– Monday: Girafarig
– Tuesday: Shuckle
– Wednesday: Kecleon
– Thursday: Relicanth
– Friday: Spiritomb

They will be avaiable on their respective day until August 1st (6AM UTC).

5) the rewards for the Mega Lucario challenge. To get it, you need to be among the Top:

– 15 000 players in Europe
– 30 000 players in North America
– 60 000 players in Japan

If not, you will receive one Jewel. If you already won a Lucarionite before, and managed to get a good rank, you will get 2 Jewels instead.
