Last week, the Guiness World Records confirmed that Pokémon GO had set five world records:

  • Most revenue grossed by a mobile game in its first month: $206.5 million of revenue in its first month;
  • Most downloaded mobile game in its first month: downloaded 130 million times since July 6th (that’s 30 million more than the current population of Philippines, 10 million less than Russia’s);
  • Most international charts topped simultaneously for a mobile game in its first month (downloads): topped mobile download charts in 70 different countries simultaneously;
  • Most international charts topped simultaneously for a mobile game in its first month (revenue): became the top-grossing mobile game in 55 different countries simultaneously;
  • Fastest time to gross $100 million by a mobile game: it only took 20 days for the game to gross $100 million in revenue.

Pokémon Shuffle

Today, some new content for Pokémon Shuffle went live:

  • a special stage featuring Typhlosion is now available until August 30th. It’s the first time you can get this Pokémon;
  • a special stage featuring is available until August 23rd. If you already caught it, you may get a Suicune Skill Booster or a Raise Max Level instead;
  • the 4th Daily Pokémon is back until August 30th. You can get the following Pokémon: Seviper, Wynaut, Torkoal, Zangoose, and Luvdisc. If you already caught one or all of those, you may get coins instead;
  • the special stage featuring Lugia is also back until August 30th, and may drop a Lugia Skill Booste.

Also, the special competition featuring Mega Garchomp is back until next week. As usual, the rewards you get depends on your overall end at the end of the competition:

  • Top 1,200 players in Europe, Top 1,800 in North America, Top 5,000 players in Japan = Garchompite + Mega Speedup + Skill Swapper;
  • Top 3,500 players in Europe, Top 5,300 in North America, Top 15,000 players in Japan = Garchompite + Mega Speedup;
  • Top 14,000 players in Europe, 22,000 in North America, Top 60,000 players in Japan = Garchompite + Exp. Booster S;
  • Top 19,000 players in Europe, 29,000 in North America, Top 80,000 players in Japan = Attack Power + Exp. Booster S;
  • Already have a Garchompite = Raise Max Level
  • Not Ranked = Attack Power

LINE

After several sets of stickers, it’s a Pokémon theme that LINE added to their LINE Store today. Called Pokémon Pixel Artwork, that theme features some sprites from the original Pokémon games, on GameBoy, and is completely black and white. It costs:
