Pokémon news (April 5) – Pokémon Shuffle: new stages / challenges
Today’s Pokémon news:
- Pokémon Shuffle
- Battle competition
Pokémon Shuffle
Today, some new stages and challenges went live in Pokémon Shuffle (on Nintendo 3DS and Mobile):
- a repeat of the stage featuring Tornadus Incarnate Forme (3DS and Mobile), playable once per day (catch rate increases with each day). Available until April 12th;
- a repeat of the stage featuring Groudon. Available until April 19th;
- a repeat of the Emboar stage (3DS and Mobile). Available until April 19th;
- a new challenge featuring Mega Sceptile, which uses the Fast Match concept (you get additional points if you make a match quickly after the previous one). As usual, the reward you get depends on your overall rank at the end of the challenge, which lasts until April 12th:
- Top 1,200 players in Europe, Top 2,000 players in North America, Top 5,000 players in Japan = Sceptilite + Raise Max Level;
- Top 8,000 players on Mobile = Sceptilite + Mega Speedup;
- Top 12,000 players in Europe, Top 20,000 players in North America, Top 50,000 players in Japan = Sceptilite;
- Top 18,000 players in Europe, Top 30,000 players in North America, Top 70,000 players in Japan = 2 Attack Powers;
- Top 80,000 players on Mobile = Sceptilite All other players get a Jewel. It runs until April 12th;
- Top 120,000 players on Mobile = 2 Attack Power.

Battle Competition
Yesterday, registration for a new Battle competition (only for Japanese players) started: it’s the Japan Championships 2016 Qualifiers, which allows players to try and get a chance to enter the Pokémon World Championships. Here’s the rules:
- Battles: Double Battles
- Rules: current VGC rules
- Legendary Pokémon allowed: 2 of the following… Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde
- Registration: from April 4th to April 28th
- Battles: from April 28th to May 1st
- Reward: all participants get Landorus based on Hyadain’s Landorus (one of the host of Pokémon no Uchi Atsumaru, a Pokémon variety show airing every Sunday on TV Tokyo).
