Pokémon @ CoroCoro: Pokémon Sun / Moon tease, movie news, more

Pokemon Sun and MoonThe latest issue of CoroCoro magazine comes out on Friday in Japan, but as usual, we can count on the usual leaks to get some details before it’s even out. We already posted about the Yo-kai Watch 3 news earlier today, but now it’s time to talk about the Pokémon series, including Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.

In the previous issue, CoroCoro announced that it would start its monthly features about Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon in the April 2016 issue (coming out this Friday in Japan). For the first one, the magazine went with a teaser: the next issue will have a major scoop about the games. It looks like the Pokémon on the boxart of each version will be revealed, too.

Also, CoroCoro magazine confirms that Magearna will be a Fairy/Steel Pokémon. It also gives details about the Pokémon Elections campaign, revealing that the winner of said elections will be chosen as distribution Pokémon for the latest Pokémon movie (which comes out on July 16th in Japan). In order to vote, you need to:

  • get a card when pre-purchasing a ticket for the movie
  • send the card with your vote before May 8th.

The winner of the Pokémon Elections will be announced in June, and then distributed at the movie.

Finally, a new Pokémon game for Arcade has been revealed: Pokémon Ga-Olé. Unfortunately, all we know about it is that you insert discs into the arcade machine in order to play. It’s not clear if it will replace Pokémon Tretta or not. One thing’s for sure: a western release of that arcade game seems extremely unlikely.

Finally, here’s scans from CoroCoro magazine:
