Ooblets – Ver. ??? (Wintertime Update)

  • Release date: December 11th 2023 (North America) / December 12th 2023 (Europe, Japan)
  • Patch notes:
  • From now until January 10th, the Ooblets Wintertime Event is live! Collect festive bobbles and chuck em in the gotsapon machines to snag event-limited goodies like new house exteriors, new outfits, and more.
    • Head over to the Dept. of Ooblet Vehicles each day to find the event kiosk and grab all the event-limited oobmobiles as well.
    • Badgetown’s been gussied up a bit in the holiday spirits and there’s a greater chance of snowy days, so be sure to stock up on meltilizer or heaters.

Ooblets – Ver. 1.4.0 (Oobmobiles Update)

  • Release date: October 31st 2023 (North America, Europe) / November 1st 2023 (Japan)
  • Patch notes:
OOBMOBILES!

We picked oobmobiles. Now your ooblets can ride around in little cars!!! It took a lot of fiddly work but the results are better than we could have hoped for. Way better than a lousy hat.
There are some barriers to getting your ooblets driving though:

  • You need to have unlocked the *Dept. of Ooblet Vehicles* (DOV) which is related to the “Mystery Door in Town Hall” Tinstle Task available after reaching a player level of 5. It should become available a day after that’s completed (you’ll get mail about it)
  • Your ooblets need to be level 10 to get a license
  • It costs a lot of gummies to get a license (currently 800 but that may change)

We also tweaked the ooblet level requirements so it won’t take as long to get to level 10 and gain access to oobmobiles, but still keeps it a fun longer-term goal.

You can also buy oobmobiles at the kiosk in the DOV regardless of whether or not you have any ooblets that are licensed, but you won’t be able to equip them on ooblets until they’re licensed. Currently, we have a kiosk that picks a different random oobmobile to be available each in-game day. During events, there might be a special event oobmobile kiosk that does the same for event-specific oobmobiles. And speaking of which:

Halloween Oobmobiles are available for a limited time! (depending on when you’re reading this)

While the Halloween Event is running, you’ll be able to snag some unique spooky oobmobiles from the Halloween oobmobile kiosk in the DOV. The oobmobile available will change each in-game day.

If you haven’t leveled any ooblets up to 10 yet, you can still stock up on the event oobmobiles (if you can afford them) to save for when you do have licensed oobs. And if you miss the event oobmobiles, they’ll be back next year! And we absolutely cannot condone you fiendishly modifying your system clock to trick our poor gullible game into thinking it’s still Halloween!

Ooblets – Ver. 1.3.0

  • Release date: September 29th 2023 (North America, Europe) / September 30th 2023 (Japan)
  • Patch notes:

No patch notes available. This update brings the following to the game:

  • brings back Halloween Event (runs from October 1st to mid-November)
    • Badgetown’s got a huge spooky makeover
    • The townsfolk have costumes!
    • There’s a brand new event-limited ooblet…
    • New clothes/accessories/furniture/decor items you get from making potions
    • Colors and lighting have been tweaked to make everything feel autumnal
    • New event collectables and an interesting way to find them (consider a mix between licorice sticks and dowsing rods…)
    • AND we’re bringing back trick-or-treabie-ing + the previous year’s collectables in case anyone missed them (also the Nullwhere riddles are back!)
  • Known issues:
  • using Dance Barn causes the game to soft-lock
    • Workaround: if you haven’t updated yet, you can refrain from doing so until the hotfix is live. If you have already updated (or still want to update to Ver. 1.3 to enjoy the Halloween content), simply avoid using Dance Barn until the hotfix is live.
