NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening is the latest entry in the long-running history simulation series, and it’s releasing on July 20th worldwide (retail in Japan, but digital-only in Europe and North America). Just like all strategy games worth their salt, this one features a breadth of gameplay systems, and it’s those very systems that Koei-Tecmo are showcasing via a series of System Introduction videos.

July 7th
The sixth and final video is about Diversified Strategies:
June 16th
The fifth video is about Sieges and Event Battles:
Sieges are intense offensive and defensive battles that surround the castle and castle town. Event battles allow you to experience famous historical battles including the Battle Of Okehazama, Battle Of Sekigahara and The Winter Siege of Ōzaka.
June 1st
The fourth video is about the March function:
Look across the land and choose your marching route carefully. The route may be beset with obstacles such as roads too narrow for a large troop, or encounting an enemy fortress. By choosing the wrong route, you could lead your army into a devastating situation. Although your retainers will make their own decisions based on the situation, it’s sometimes necessary to give them orders to lead them.
May 30th
The third video is about Submission:
Retainers will evaluate the current situation and act on their own judgement. They will provide submissions, which are plans they consider the best for the clan. Submissions vary widely, including employing an officer, expanding the control of the territory, investing in development, and appeasing tribes. Each require different amounts of money and effort.

The second video is about the Daimyou and Retainers:
Use direct talks, accolades and war tactics to build alliances, request reinforcements and enhance the effectiveness of your appointed daimyō and retainers.
May 18th
The first video is about the Dominion feature:
Dominion grants territory that you have obtained to your retainers. In return, your retainers who are given the land will dedicate themselves to the development of the clan. By recognising their achievements, you can expect greater outcomes from them. Deepen your bonds with each of your retainers and build the foundations of your clan!
