Nintendo World Championships 2017 taking place today (livestreams, participants, more)

Today, Nintendo finally shared some more details about the Nintendo World Championships 2017, which are taking place on October 7th in New York… yes it’s next week!

First of all, we finally know when the livestream will begin, on October 5th:

  • Europe: 11PM to 2/3AM
  • UK: 10PM to 1/2AM
  • North America (EDT): 5PM to 8/9PM
  • North America (PDT): 2PM to 5/6PM
  • Japan: 6AM to 9/10AM

According to Nintendo, the whole event is expected to last between 3 and 4 hours.

If you want to attend the event in person, here’s some good news: tickets (or rather, wristbands) will be completely free, though as you can expect, they will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, on the day of the event (at the Manhattan Center entrance on W 34th St.). Line for the wristbands starts at 9AM, with doors opening at 3.30PM.
