Nintendo Switch: press event in Paris on January 13th

A few weeks ago, Nintendo announced the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017: a global presentation about the Nintendo Switch, where more details about the console will be revealed (release date, pricing, line-up, etc.). It will be followed by various hands-on events in Japan, Europe, and North America.

A few days ago, we learned that there would be a hands-on event in New York on January 13th, but it turns out it will not be the only one taking place on that day. This week, Nintendo started sending invites for a special event taking place on January 13th in Paris, as reported by our friends at Puissance Nintendo.

Unfortunately, this event will not be open to the public, and only journalists (and members of the industry) will be able to attend and try out the Nintendo Switch before everyone else.

Right now, it’s not clear when the general public will be able to try out the Nintendo Switch before launch. Nintendo did announce two hands-on events for Japan (January 14th and 15th, and at the Game Party Japan in February), but nothing for Europe, North America, or other countries. No doubt we will get some announcements within the next few weeks and/or on/after January 13th.

The Nintendo Switch will be released in March, worldwide.
