Nintendo NY

On January 12th/13th, Nintendo will share plenty of details about the Nintendo Switch during the Nintendo Switch Presentation. And as usual with similar events (such as Nintendo Direct presentations, or the Digital Events at E3 2016), there will be an exclusive in-store viewing event at the same time.

The first 250 fans to line-up will be able to get a free ticket for that event, with said tickets being distributed from 8PM on January 12th. Naturally, it’s highly recommended to line-up as early as possible in order to get a ticket, as those will be distributed on a first-come first-served basis.

If you don’t live anywhere near New York, you will be able to watch the presentation live on Twitch and YouTube (click here for everything you need to know!).

Here’s the YouTube livestream:

Nintendo Switch accessories

Earlier this week, Snakebyte announced a bunch of accessories for the Nintendo Switch. And yesterday, it’s Hyperkin who announced some, with a more varied line-up:

  • Travel Bag (protective padding inside, 4ft. adjustable shoulder strap, dual zipper)
  • Hard Shell Carrying Case (all-around zipper, game and accessory storage space)
  • Screen Protector
  • Charge Cable (5ft. cable, USB Type-C)
  • Car Charger Adapter (5ft. cable, 5V 2.1A, USB Type-C)
  • AC Adapter (4ft. cable, USB Type-C)

Here’s some pictures of the accessories:

1-Up Studios

Yesterday, 1-Up Studios (previously known as Brownie Brown) shared the following picture on Facebook:

As you can see, it’s an invitation for the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017. Does that mean there will be a game by 1-Up Studios at the conference? Unfortunately, the answer is no. Unlike Brownie Brown, 1-Up Studios is a support studio: they only assist other development teams at Nintendo. They previously worked on titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, Super Mario 3D World, and more.

In other words, don’t expect any game from them, not even the rumoured Mother 3 Virtual Console release (they have literally nothing to do with that one, for the reason mentioned above).
