This week-end, The MCM Comic Con will take place in Birmingham (in the UK). Nintendo will be there, and will host a special tournament for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. 32 community players will get to face each other during the show, which will be partially streamed on Twitch (only the grand finale, along with the quarter and semi-finals).
The finale will be streamed on Saturday at 4PM (GMT), and the live itself will start at 2PM (GMT) the same day.
Players going to MCM Comic Con will not only have the chance to watch the tournament live, but they will also get to participate in various tournaments for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. There will also be exhibition matches, demo stations for people to try out the games, 8-player tournaments for amiibo (both free-for-all and team battles) and more.
On their booth, Nintendo will also sell some exclusive goodies from the official Nintendo UK store, like the Nintendo 3DS XL Majora’s Mask 3D Edition, the GameCube Controller Super Smash Bros. Edition, the GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U, a Super Smash Bros. Wii U bundle with the Villager amiibo, the New Nintendo 3DS XL Majora’s Mask 3D Edition with Skull Kid figurine, amiibo bundles including Yoshi, Pikachu and Samus with a carry case and much more.
And if Super Smash Bros. isn’t really your thing, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will also be playable on Nintendo’s booth during the Comic Con, on both the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL. There will even be some live lessons and demonstrations from Monster Hunter experts, for those interested in learning how to play or to get better at the game. Finally, Nintendo will have a special StreetPass area, for players looking to meet lots of Mii on their 3DS consoles.
The MCM Birmingham Comic Con takes place on March 21st and 22nd.
