Wondering what’s going to happen first, a new Nintendo Direct or a new Indie World presentation? Well, Nintendo just announced that it would be both! Indeed, the next Nintendo Direct (a Partner Showcase, to be precise) will take place on August 27th, with the Indie World presentation just before it. Both presentations will run around 40 minutes combined.

Here’s when this Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase + Indie World combo will take place:

Europe: August 27th at 4PM
UK: Augusut 27th at 3PM
North America (ET): August 27th at 10AM
North America (PT): August 27th at 7AM
Japan: August 27th at 11PM

What to expect for this Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase + Indie World combo? Well, for starters, there won’t be any news on the elusive Nintendo Switch successor, though that’s hardly a surprise given that a new platform is bound to get its own, dedicated presentation or it would risk overshadowing other announcements.

Despite the Nintendo Switch being in its 7th year on the market, it’s still getting lots of new games every month, so we can expect a fair number of new announcements during both presentations (with updates on previously announced titles too). Partner Showcase have been home to some major announcements in the past (like Monster Hunter Rise one in September 2020), so maybe this one will have a few neat surprises.
