[N-Direct] Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympics announced (Wii U / 3DS)

The latest entry may not have sold quite as much as those on Wii, but it doesn’t look like Nintendo and SEGA were ready to abandon the Mario & Sonic at the Olympics series. During today’s Nintendo Direct, Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympics was announced: it will come out later this year on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

Several new characters will be playable in this one:

– Birdo
– Rouge
– Diddy Kong
– Zazz
– Nabbit
– Jet the Hawk

There will also be various new sports, such as Golf and Rugby sevens.

Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympics will come out on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
