Monster Hunter Stories: trailer and artwork for the Zelda collaboration, more

Last week, during the latest Nintendo 3DS Direct presentation in Japan, Capcom revealed a special collaboration with Monster Hunter Stories. This new collaboration is with the Legend of Zelda series, which already got several in Monster Hunter 4 (Ultimate) and Monster Hunter Generations.

Here’s everything players will be able to get thanks to this collaboration:

  • a Link outfit for the protagonist (complete with the Master Sword, and the Hylian Shield);
  • the Majora’s Mask mask for Nabiru, the protagonist’s partner Felyne;
  • Epona not just as a mount (like you would expect), but as an actual monster. There’s even a special Kizuna Move you can pull off with her, as you can see in the trailer below. It looks like the sound effects are the same as in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time / Majora’s Mask!

Today, Capcom shared a trailer for the game, showcasing the Link outfit, the Majora’s mask, and Epona:

Here’s also an artwork for that extra content:

Unfortunately, we still don’t know how/when the distribution will go live, but Capcom promises that more details will be revealed in the future.

Also, Capcom launched a special Twitter campaign today. Depending on the number of tweets, some bonus items will be distributed in-game: click here for more details (in Japanese).

Monster Hunter Stories (3DS) comes out on October 8th in Japan.
