Monster Hunter Stories: screenshots and artworks

Monster Hunter StoriesFollowing yesterday’s article in Famitsu, and the opening of the official website, Capcom has released the very first batch of direct-feed screenshots for Monster Hunter Stories. For those who don’t know, the game is a turn-based RPG, taking place in the Monster Hunter Universe (click here for more details!).

The screenshots and artworks below show the main characters, some of the areas (including the Rider Village, and the Hunter Village), but also some battles, monsters hatching from an egg and more.

However, there’s something a bit strange about some of the screenshots below: their resolution is way too high for the Nintendo 3DS (1280×768), whereas the actual resolution of the top screen is 400×240. What’s more, the level details is certain way above what the 3DS or even the New 3DS is able to handle.

Here’s the screenshots for Monster Hunter Stories:

Head after the break for the various artworks!

Monster Hunter Stories (3DS) will come out next year in Japan.
