Monster Hunter Stories: a look at the latest DLC, more

Earlier this month, we learned that Monster Hunter Stories was getting some special collaboration sub-quests. To get those, you need to head over to an Arcade Center with Monster Hunter Spirits 2: Triple Soul, and download them from there. The first batch of sub-quests went live on November 17th, and you can find details and screenshots in this post.

The second batch of sub-quests will go live on December 1st, and just like last time, there will be a total of 7 sub-quests available on two specific days:

  • Quest #8 (Rank ★3): available on December 1st and December 8th
  • Quest #9 (Rank ★2): available on December 2nd and December 9th
  • Quest #10 (Rank ★4): available on December 3rd and December 10th
  • Quest #11 (Rank ★7): available on December 4th and December 11th
  • Quest #12 (Rank ★2): available on December 5th and December 12th
  • Quest #13 (Rank ★3): available on December 6th and December 13th
  • Quest #14 (Rank ★3): available on December 7th and December 14th

Next, we have the weekly batch of DLC, with:

  • special battle rules: Blue Monsters. It allows you to get an Otomon egg for a Blue Yian Kut-Ku, with “Flying” as its Ride Action. As usual, you need to get several egg pieces, and when you have them all, you get the egg;
  • special tournament: Dawn and Dusk Celebration (Rank: Gold). If you manage to win, you can get some special equipment (with male / female variation), but only the first time around.

And if you’re hungry right now, make sure not to check out those pictures of Monster Hunter Stories dishes, coming next month to the Capcom Café:

And finally, here’s some merchandise for… Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross):

Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross) (3DS) comes out on March 18th.
