Minecraft Wii U Edition rated by PEGI in Europe

Back in August, we learned that Minecraft was finally coming to Wii U, but it wasn’t the game most people were expecting… Indeed, it’s Minecraft: Story Mode (an adventure game developed by TellTale Games) that was announced, and is still not available (it looks looks like Wii U owners will have to wait until all episodes have been released first).

But good news for players still holding hope for the actual Minecraft on Wii U: Minecraft Wii U Edition was rated by the PEGI (in Europe) very recently (in fact, the listing went up today). The publisher is apparently Microsoft studios.

There’s no doubt Minecraft Wii U Edition will be formally announced later today, during the Nintendo Direct. However, plenty of questions remain: when it will come out? Retail or Nintendo eShop-only? What about Wii U features? Will there be any Nintendo content in the game?

Minecraft will come out on Wii U.
