Minecraft getting Moana Character Pack and Skin Pack 1 (feat. Master Chief) later today

It’s time for the very first set of DLC for Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition and Wii U Edition in 2018! Granted, we still don’t know when the Better Together update will be released, but at least, both versions are still gettinga steady stream of additional content!

Earlier today, Mojang announced that in a few hours, both the Nintendo Switch and Wii U versions are getting two very special DLC Packs. The first one features characters from Disney’s Moana, with “an intrepid crew of Pacific islanders, the shapeshifting demigod Maui, a giant gold-grabbing crab, coconut-clad pirates, watery apparitions, volcanic demons and other denizens of the deep”.

Here’s a trailer for the Moana Character Pack:

As for the second pack, it’s none other than the “legendary” Skin Pack 1, one of the most popular skin packs ever released. It features various skins based on characters from the Fable series, but also video games such as Halo, Banjo & Kazooie, and more (Master Chief, Banjo, Cole Train, ‘Splosion Man, and more).

Here’s some pictures for both skin packs:

As usual, you will need to download the latest update before you can purchase those DLC Packs: check out this post for details about the Nintendo Switch update, and this post for the Wii U update.
