Mega Man Legacy Collection (3DS): Mega Man amiibo to unlock fan-created challenges

Mega Man Legacy CollectionMega Man Legacy Collection came out a couple of weeks ago on various platforms, but the Nintendo 3DS version will not be released until Early 2016. However, it will have a feature not found in the other versions: amiibo compatibility! To be more precise, only the Mega Man amiibo will be compatible.

But what will the Mega Man amiibo do, exactly? Well, it’s pretty simple: it will unlock 10 additional challenges for the Challenge Mode. But there’s something a bit special about those challenges: they will not be designed by Capcom… but by fans themselves!

Yesterday, Capcom launched a special contest over at Capcom-Unity, and the winners will have their own Challenge added to the Nintendo 3DS version of Mega Man Legacy Collection! Here’s the guidelines:

Design your own Mega Man challenge! Your challenge may include up to ten “sections.” These sections may span any of the six games—they can all be from one game, or you can mix up sections from various games. Your challenge may of course include fewer than ten sections, but should include at least five.

You will find more details about the contest over at Capcom-Unity!

Mega Man Legacy Collection (3DS) will come out in Early 2016, on the Nintendo eShop and at retail.
