Mario vs Donkey Kong – Tipping Stars: some technical details
The Japanese website, launched earlier this week, allows you to get some small technical details about the two versions of the game, like the size of the game or the online functionalities.
Wii U
On the Wii U, Mario vs Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars requires 930MB of free space on your console or external HDD, as well as 10.5MB for the save file (one per Wii U user). The game can only be played with the GamePad, and off-tv is supported. As for online fuctionalities, there is no real surprises: you can share stages made in the level-editor, you can download other people’s custom stages, but also rate said stages and give their creators a tip.
Nintendo 3DS
On the Nintendo 3DS, Mario vs Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars requires 253MB (2 100 blocks) of free space on your SD Card, with only one save file. Also note that the game doesn’t support stereoscopic 3D. Online functionalities are pretty much the same as the Wii U version: you can share stages made in the level-editor, you can download other people’s custom stages, but also rate said stages and give their creators a tip. As for StreetPass, it allows you to share suggestions for custom stages.
Mario vs Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars (Wii U / 3DS) comes out on March 5 in North America, March 19th in Japan and March 20th in Europe.
