Marfusha (high-tempo shooting game) blasts onto Nintendo Switch next week

Next week, Nintendo Switch owners will be able to check out Marfusha, a high-tempo shooting game developed by hinyari9. It will be released on April 6th worldwide, and will cost $11.99 / 1 180 Yen (with the Japanese version offering an English language option).

To celebrate the release date announcement, Playism shared a short trailer for the game. It gives us a sneak peek at the animated opening video, which features “I’ll be there”, an original song by singer-songwriter KOKIA).

The console versions of Marfusha feature a brand new animated opening set to its very own theme song, which depicts the world of Marfusha in one, breathtaking package.

The theme song “I’ll be there” has been created specifically for this game by singer-songwriter KOKIA, while the animation was crafted by a team consisting of developer hinyari9, and Chisey and TOHRU MiTSUHASHi, who worked on the viral music videos for the game NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD.

Marfusha takes place in a dystopian world, and tasks you with defending a border gate from the relentless assaults of enemies. In order to face the increasingly powerful forces thrown at you, you need to scrounge up as much cash as you can to buy cards that will help you shoot all those enemies down. The game features multiple endings, and needs to be replayed several times to reveal the full story.
