Langrisser (3DS) coming out in July in Japan, will get a Limited Edition

Thanks to the online website of Rakuten (a Japanese retailer), we now have a title for the new Langrisser game on Nintendo 3DS. It’s called Langrisser: Re:incarnation Tensei, and it will come out in July in Japan. The game will even get a Legend Edition (with limited quantities, obviously), which include:

– the game;
– figures of Rosalia and Licorice;
– soundtrack album (2 discs): includes a picture label with Chris and Liana from Langrisser 2, 20 songs from Langrisser I, II, and Der Langrisser, but also some new tracks composed by Noriyuki Iwadare, and the main theme by Okui Masami;
– 64-pages artbook, with illustrations by Satoshi Urushihara and Hiroshi Kaieda, including some previously unpublished materials.

Here’s some pictures for that Legend Edition:

We also get some details on the game itself, including some of the returning elements from the series. For example, the special traits of each unit, commander and mercenary are back, but they are also even easier to use than ever before. As for the story, the game is about a conflict opposing three powers: the “Bright Army,” the “Imperial Army,” and the “Dark Army”.

You get to play as the commander of your own power, and you’ll team up with various mercenaries in order to search for your little sister (Licorice), who disappeared when she was very young. Langrisser: Re:Incarnation Tensei will include several branching paths, and different endings depending on your choices during the adventure.

Langrisser: Re:Incarnation Tensei also includes some Confession Events, with 28 different characters. Each of them gets its own illustrations, and the dialogues are fully voiced. If you succeed in those Confession Events, the corresponding character will appear during the ending sequence of the game.

Finally, here’s the (temporary) boxart for the game:
