Jump magazine leaks: Splatoon / Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition / My Hero One’s Justice

This week, the latest issue of Jump magazine has some juicy video game-related tidbits to share, about Splatoon 2, Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition, and My Hero One’s Justice!

Splatoon

The magazine reveals that on June 9th, there will be a Splatoon-related announcement that will “shake the world”. It looks like a project is in the works, but it’s currently unclear whether it’s related to a game or not.

What’s interesting about this announcement is that it’s just before E3, where the Splatoon 2 World Championships will take place. It’s surprising that whatever this project may be, it will be revealed ahead of it… especially on a Saturday!

What’s more, the Final Round of the 11th Splatfest in Japan should take place on June 2nd, but Nintendo has already announced that it would take place on June 9th instead… that’s right, the same day as this mysterious announcement.

Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition

The magazine reveals that Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition will be released at retail in June in Japan, where it will cost 3 888 Yen (with Microsoft Japan publishing). It’s quite likely that the release will be simultaneous worldwide, and in fact, we’re bound to get an announcement this very week!

For those wondering, this retail version does include the “Better Together” update, that should launch simultaneously (which is why the retail release is also bound to be simultaneous worldwide). If you already own the game via the Nintendo eShop, you will get the new version of Minecraft for free!

Update: the release date has been announced… June 21st! Check out this post for more details!

My Hero One’s Justice

The magazine reveals 3 new playable characters:

  • Fumikage Tokoyami
  • Kyouka Jirou
  • Eijiro Kirishima: his quirk, Hardening, allows him to harden his body. As a result, enemy attacks do not hinder him, allowing him to keep attacking even when taking hits. That being said, this does has an impact on his HP!

As for the early purchase bonuses, Japanese players will be able to get the following:

  • 2 Rare RP cards, that can be used in Clash Heroes Battle (a game mode, no other details available at the moment);
  • alt colour, accessories, titles, victory lines, and more, that can be used right away (without having to unlock them first).
