Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu Heroes: release date, 2nd teaser trailer, website update

Back in August, Konami announced during a livestream that a new Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu Heroes would be released this Winter in Japan. And for the first time since 2009, with Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu 2009 on the Wii, a new entry will be released on a Nintendo console… the Nintendo 3DS, to be more precise.

And today, Konami announced that the game, called Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu Heroes, would be released on December 12th in Japan (it will cost 4 500 Yen + taxes). A second teaser trailer was also revealed:

But that’s not all: Konami also opened the official website (which was pretty empty until today), revealing some extra details. It confirms that the game will feature a VS mode, that will let you compete against the team of other players (unfortunately, the website confirms it’s local multiplayer only, and up to 2 players max.).

As for the “Story”: one day, you receive an invitation for the Powerful Baseball Classic. It’s a legendary tournament, which decides who is the best baseball team. Naturally, you don’t wait a minute, and make the trip all the way to an island in order to participate. To win, you will need to set up the best baseball ever… easier said than done! There are many talented people gathering for that tournament, after all.

Here’s some of the characters appearing in the game:

  • Protagonist
  • Asao Yabe
  • Yuuta Narumi
  • Miwa Ogawa
  • Bunraku Edogawa
  • Itsuki Sakurazawa
  • Mahiro Toudou
  • Haruto Aoba
  • Makoto Nijitani
  • Kazuya Unkaii

Naturally, those are not the only characters: there are still (a lot) more left to be revealed.
