Japan: some sales data for third-party games on Nintendo Switch (as of Week 48, 2017)

In the latest issue, Nintendo Dream shares some sales data for third-party games on Nintendo Switch as of Week 48 (December 3rd). None of the games listed below will amaze anyone with their total sales (only two sold more than 100 000 units), but at the very least, they are selling at a rather steady pace, which is a good sign. For many of them, total sales are more than twice launch week sales.

Of course, some of them didn’t fare all too well: that’s the case of Fire Emblem Warriors (published by Koei-Tecmo in Japan), which only sold about 21 000 units in the weeks following launch… not that impressive for a game released in late September!

Dragon Quest Heroes I & II sales, on the other, definitely are impressive, with 72 514 units sold to date. Due to the game using a 32GB cartridge, it’s extremely expensive (about 9 000 Yen). The thing is, the price hasn’t gone down since launch, which means it’s selling steadily at that price (and the data below confirms it).

Here’s the various sales data provided by Nintendo Dream in the latest issue:
