[Japan] Pokémon: sales data for Sword and Shield, Legends: Arceus, and Scarlet and Violet Original Soundtrack albums (Oricon, Billboard Japan)

Today is Pokémon Day, and to celebrate, The Pokémon Company finally released the soundtrack albums for several mainline Pokémon games on Nintendo Switch: Pokémon Sword and Shield, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

And in this post, you will find all relevant data for all the soundtrack albums from both Oricon and Billboard Japan. It will be updated as new data is shared, so keep checking back!

As of March 3rd, the albums have sold:

  • Pokémon Scarlet and Violet + The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Super Music Collection – 3,391 units (Oricon) / 3,659 units (Billboard Japan)
  • Pokémon Sword and Shield + Expansion Pass Super Music Collection – 2,240 units (Oricon) / 2,485 units (Billboard Japan)
  • Pokémon Legends: Arceus Super Music Collection – 1,689 units (Oricon) / 1,970 units (Billboard Japan)

March 13th

During the second week, none of the albums ranked in Oricon’s Weekly Album Rankings (Top 50).

And here’s the second week sales for each album from Billboard Japan:

  • the soundtrack album for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet + The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero ranked #75 in the Hot Albums ranking, and #58 in the Top Albums ranking
  • the soundtrack album for Pokémon Sword and Shield + Expansion Pass did not rank in the Hot Albums ranking or the Top Albums ranking
  • the soundtrack album for Pokémon Legends: Arceus did not rank in the Hot Albums ranking or the Top Albums ranking.
