[Japan] New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console: 6 new titles now available

Unlike in Europe and North America, where they are more or less regular, New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console releases are pretty infrequent in Japan. Nintendo usually release them in batches every month or so, but until last week’s new releases, it had been almost 4 months since the last batch (in early August, with one more game in late August).

And last week, Nintendo announced a special promotion to celebrate the 26th anniversary of the SNES (released as the Super Famicom on November 21st, 1990, in Japan). This promotion has two parts:

  • a total of 13 New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console titles were released over the course of two weeks;
  • an exclusive Nintendo 3DS Theme will be given to any user purchasing at least one New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console title between today and December 5th (must have a Nintendo Account linked to a Nintendo Network ID). It can be any of the 24 titles released on the New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console in Japan, not necessarily one of the new titles.

Here’s what the Nintendo 3DS Theme look like:
