Japan – Media Create sales for Week 11, 2015 (March 9 – 15)

Last week, Mario Party 10 cames out in Japan, and had a pretty decent first week with over 50 000 units sold (roughly 50% of all the units shipped to retailers, who shouldn’t have any problem selling the rest). Unfortunately, it didn’t have much of an impact on Wii U sales, which are down week to week: most people who bought the game already owned the Wii U, from the looks of it.

The other new release of the week on Nintendo consoles is Ansatsu Kyoushitsu: Korosensei Daihouimou!! (Assassination Classroom), which seems to have done better than Bandai-Namco’s expectations. The game sold over 25 000 units during the first 4 days, which is roughly 80-90% of all the units shipped to retailers for launch). Unfortunately, Atlus is still encountering stock problems with Etrian Mystery Dungeon, which totally dropped out out the Top 20 due to insufficient stocks.

As for Hardware, the PS4 is back on top thanks to the release of Yakuza 0, though the 3DS sales still remain as stable as during the past few weeks. Same thing for the Wii U, which still isn’t doing really hot, unfortunately.
