Japan: Golden Week Sale and The Super Mario Bros. Movie campaign to kick off this Friday

Saturday is Showa Day in Japan, and it marks the start of the famous Golden Week (a series of public holidays). Since people have lots of free time, that period is known for its many sales and other promotional events. Nintendo is no different. Earlier today, the company announced its usual Golden Week sale on Nintendo eShop, along with a special Mario campaign to celebrate the release of the Super Mario Bros. And that’s not all: if you buy one of the Mario games listed above at participating retailers, you will receive a set of stickers. Make sure to check out the store does take part in that offer (or that it hasn’t run out of stickers) beforehand, though! This campaign runs until May 28th.

Finally, 4 shopping malls with a theatre will run a special event where visitors will be able to play some Mario games (namely, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Maker 2 and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury) and get a Mario-branded sun visor as present. You can find more details (and the list of shopping malls) at the second source link!
