Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack

Back in August, Inti Creates released the Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack, but only Japan got a retail release. Fortunately, such a release was also in the works for Europe and North America, and this week, the release date for both regions was finally announced:

• North America: November 21st
• Europe: December 1st

Hollow Knight

Looking forward to Hollow Knight? Unfortunately, you will have to wait a little bit longer before being able to play it on Nintendo Switch. Earlier this week, Team Cherry announced that the game was now slated for an Early 2018 release.

Wondering what’s taking them so long? Here’s the answer:

Honestly, it’s just that as first-time developers we built the game in some strange, unoptimised ways and to get things running smoothly and consistently we need to sweep back through and rewrite or fix bits and pieces. It’s an involved process, but we’ve learnt a lot for the next project and it’s a big relief to get everything cleaned up nicely!

Now that they’re done with other platforms, they can fully focus on the Nintendo Switch version. Hopefully, there will be no further delays!

Kickstarter

This week, two Kickstarter projects went live, for games meant for Nintendo platforms:

• Super Mighty Power Man (by Hedge Games), a 2D action/platformer inspired by the likes of Mega Man for the New Nintendo 3DS and the Nintendo Switch. The developers need 50 000€ for their project, and 6 598€ have already been pledged (with 29 days to go). Click here for more details about it!
• Trüberbrook (by btf), a Sci-Fi-Mystery Adventure Game with handmade scenery for the Nintendo Switch. The developers need 80 000€ for their project, and… the campaign is already successful, with 84 067€ pledged within the first day. Fortunately, some stretchgoals have been revealed, with the first one at 90 000€! Click here for more details about this project.

Worms W.M.D.

Good news for Worms fans who have been patiently waiting for Worms W.M.D. on Nintendo Switch: it will be released next week, on November 23rd! It will cost £19.99 / 29,99€ / $29.99, and will require 4.6GB of free space.

The End is Nigh

Nicalis is on a roll with Nintendo Switch releases, and it’s far from over. Yesterday, they finally announced the release date for The End is Nigh: December 12th! For more details about the game, make sure to check out this post!

Nintendo Switch demos

As months go by, Nintendo keeps on adding new features to the Nintendo Switch of the Nintendo eShop. This week, the company added a pretty useful option: the ability to search for games with demos. Head over the Search tab of the Nintendo eShop, and click on “Games with demo” button just below the search field. Alternatively, you can check the relevant boxes in the left corner of the screen.

Naturally, even with this feature, we’re still going to keep the Nintendo Switch demos page up to date… in fact, this new feature will make our job easier!

Today, Jools Watsham began a new video series on his YouTube channel, about the development of the long-awaited Treasurenauts. Here’s the first video:

Teslagrad

Here’s the Japanese trailer for Teslagrad on Nintendo Switch:
