Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX trailer showcases all 48 songs, series on hold for now

Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 was released back in November 2013 in Japan, and the “Deluxe” version came out yesterday in Japan.

It includes a total of 48 songs, with only one new song compared to Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 (Hajimemashite Chikyuujin-san by Pinnochio-P, which is the new main theme). However, this Deluxe version of the game includes several new PV, as well as some extra goodies. It was mainly developed for the western market, which are getting it in September.

Today, SEGA uploaded a new trailer for Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX. It showcases all 48 songs in the game, and shows the new PV for some of them.

But before that, some important news from SEGA. During an event in Akihabara, the developers confirmed that the Project Mirai series will be on hold from now on. This means that no new entry is currently in development for the time being, not that the series has come to a permanent close.

No doubt SEGA will have a new entry ready for Nintendo’s next handheld! For the time being, the team is going to start working on an entirely new project, though we don’t know when it will be revealed.
