Harvest Moon: Skytree Village gets its first details ahead of E3

Harvest Moon Skytree VillageYesterday, Natsume announced Harvest Moon: Skytree Village, the latest entry in its own Harvest Moon series (not to be confused with the Story of Seasons games, from the original series). The game will be playable at E3 in a couple of weeks, but it looks like we will not have to wait until then before getting proper details: Natsume revealed some today, on their Facebook page.

We learn that Harvest Moon: Skytree Village takes place in a land called “Oasis of the Harvest Goddess”, where many people used to live in Skytree Village. The land used to be lush and green, but due to the waning power of the Harvest Goddess, land gradually became parched and dry.

Your goal in the game will be to give the Harvest Goddess her powers back. This will have a very positive impact on the land, which will be brought back to life. As you can imagine, Harvest Moon: Skytree Village will let you meet some new and returning characters. It will feature a brand new artstyle, new characters models, new animals (such as the Poitou donkey), and more. There will even be tutorials for newcomers.

The game will also let you raise and lower the land, create rivers, ponds, and more. If you use upgraded tools, you will be able to shape the land more efficiently. But if all this working is already tiring you out, there’s something relaxing to look forward to: fishing!

Unfortunately, it looks like we will have to wait until E3 before getting the very first screenshots (and maybe trailer) for the game!
