Happy Birthdays: details on the various game modes

It looks like today, Arc System Works is in a “game mode detailing” mood! After BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, earlier today, it’s Happy Birthdays’ turn to have its game modes details, this time via the official website (updated earlier today).

This enhanced version of Birthdays The Beginning offers the following game modes:

  • New game: the story mode, that also features a tutorial. Allows you to witness the history of a planet, from the very beginning and the strange events that occured and began it all;
  • Challenge: a mode with various challenges to tackle, where you have to create specific creatures within a set amount of time (such as “Let’s make an Eolaptor!” or “Bring a Tyrannosaurus to life!”)
  • Free Mode: you get to choose the size of your planet (3 sizes available), and then you’re free to do whatever you want without having to follow a set story. You can even “customise” the planet with monuments (such as Moai statues, for example). There’s plenty of different monuments for you to choose from, including some collaborations with other Arc System Works games or series (Kunio-kun, Of Mice And Sand, Cube Creator, and more).

Here’s some pictures showcasing those modes:

Happy Birthdays (Switch) comes out on March 29th in Japan, and later this year in Europe and North America.
