Hakuoki SSL ~Sweet School Life~ invites Switch players to a date this February
Heads up Otome game fans: the latest Hakuoki game on Nintendo Switch is coming to Europe and North America on February 12th! And not just any entry… Hakuoki SSL ~Sweet School Life~ is getting an official English localisation, courtesy of eastasiasoft.

The long-running Hakuoki otome visual novel series enters a new era! Hakuoki SSL ~Sweet School Life~ puts a modern spin on the Edo period romance of the main series, instead casting heroine Chizuru and the handsome warriors of the Shinsengumi as students and teachers living in modern Japan. School life antics ensue as these beloved characters hold a school festival, stress over midterms, get into watergun fights and more!
Experience a fun slice-of-life story through unlockable event scenes, engaging dialogue and beautifully illustrated character portraits, all localized in English for the first time. Explore unique endings with each character and enjoy mini-games that make this standalone entry extra special!
Hakuoki SSL ~Sweet School Life~ will be available in several editions:
- Regular (retail via Play-Asia + digital, with retail copies shipping in the same week as digital release)

Hakuoki SSL ~Sweet School Life~ is a visual novel adventure centered around heroine Chizuru Yukimura and the handsome legendary warriors of the Shinsengumi, but unlike most of the series that’s set in Edo period Japan, this standalone entry casts the characters as members of a school in modern Japan. This Nintendo Switch release will include English language support for the first time, which should be welcome news for the many otome fans that have long requested localization of this particular game.
