How to download Software updates for Fire Emblem Warriors on the Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS?

To download updates for the Nintendo Switch version of the game, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, press either + or – to go to the Options page. The version number is displayed right under the game’s title.

To download updates for the New Nintendo 3DS version of the game, you have the following options:

  • while connected to the internet, launch the game from the Home Menu: you should get a prompt when doing so. Simply follow the instructions on screen;
  • search for Fire Emblem Warriors on the Nintendo eShop;
  • use the option in the Nintendo eShop Settings page.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply launch the game: the version number should be displayed on the title screen.

Fire Emblem Warriors– Ver. 1.5.0

  • Release date: March 28th 2018 (North America) / March 29th 2018 (Europe, Japan)
  • Platforms: Nintendo Switch / New Nintendo 3DS
  • File size: 765 blocks or 95.65MB (New Nintendo 3DS)
  • Patch notes:
  • Fire Emblem Awakening Pack compatibility has been added.
  • The level cap for characters has been increased to 150.
  • New weapon attribute, Legendary, has been added.
  • New blessings have been added.
  • New crests have been added.
  • Level Reset has been added. After clearing Story Mode, you can reset a character’s level at the Temple.
  • Continuous Blessings setting has been added. You can receive the same blessings as the last battle without going to the Temple.
  • Video-capture compatibility has been added.
  • Credits have been updated.
  • Improvements to the UI.
  • Various bug fixes.
  • List of changes:
  • level cap raised from 130 to 150
  • adds a new weapon attritubel: Legendary (allows you to raise the attack power of a regular weapon to the same level as a Hero’s unique weapon), available via a random drop;
  • adds new Blessings:
    • Speed Blessing, Luck Blessing: increase Speed / Luck;
    • Healing Blessing: allows all units to automatically recover some HP, little by little;
    • Transport Blessing: increases the amount of materials you can earn from drops;
    • Master Blessing: increase the number, level, quality, and number of skills, of weapons earned via drops;
    • Ordinary Materials Blessing: makes it easier to get ordinary/common materials from drops;
    • Infernal Blessing: raises the level of all enemies to Lvl. 150 [available from the “Blessings” menu, at the Temple]
    • Tactician Blessing:  while wearing this, a unit will not be able to deal any damage to enemies. On the other hand, the units not controlled by the player will see their attack power increased. Basically, this Blessing allows you to play exclusively by giving orders to other units, like an actual Tactician. [available from the “Blessings” menu, at the Temple] 
  • adds Level Reset: allows you to reset the level of a unit (to Lvl. 1), and get materials in return;
  • adds support for the Video Capture feature;
  • makes improvement to the UI of the battle screen;
  • fixes various bugs.
  • Additional notes: while this udpate is required for the third and final paid DLC Pack, it’s available to all players (even those who don’t buy the DLC). For more details about the DLC Pack, make sure to check out this post!

    • Finisher Focus: allows you to deplete the Stun gauge faster;
    • Anti-Air Focus: allows you to deal more damage to enemies that have been launched in the air.
  • Adds new Blessings:
    • Strength Blessing, Magic Blessing, Skill Blessing: increases the respective stats;
    • Bond Blessing: makes it easier to raise the bond between two characters;
    • Swift Blessings: increase attack power for a limited time, at the beginning of battle.
  • Various improvements to the UI, including the map;
  • Various bug fixes
  • Bug fix for the sound data glitch for the first DLC Pack

Additional Weapon Characteristics

Divine Favor: for every 100 enemies you defeat, your attack power is increased.

This Weapon Characteristic appears as random drop after downloading and installing the Software update.

The following Blessings have been added added to the game:

  • Defense Blessing
  • Magic Defense Blessing
  • Divine Favor Blessing
  • Killing Blessing
