Fire Emblem Heroes: challenge Kotaro Yamada’s Heroes with new special maps (now live)

Update: the Special Maps are now live in Fire Emblem Heroes!

***

Tomorrow, a new set of Special Maps for Fire Emblem Heroes will go live. Usually, we’d just update the “Latest events and content updates” page and call it a day, but this time around, the special maps are extra special. Indeed, it’s the same type of event as the one held a few weeks ago, where players could battle the Heroes of Kozaki Yuusuke.

This time around, the Special Maps will feature the Heroes from Kotaro Yamada’s team. Die-hard Fire Emblem fans definitely know that name, but for those who don’t, here’s some quick details about him. Kotaro Yamada is the author of the Fire Emblem: Hasha no Tsurugi manga. He’s contributed several illustrations for the Fire Emblem 0 TCG.

Just like last time, if you clear all the Special Maps, you will be able to earn up to 10 Orbs (you need to clear them on both difficulty levels to get that many). Some special quests will also be added to the game at the same time, allowing you to earn even more goodies!

Here’s some additional details:

  • Kotaro Yamada’s play data was recorded afte Inherit Skill was implemented, but Sacred Seals were not equipped;
  • the Heroes’ base level was used, even if Merge Allies was used;
  • on Hard, all enemies get a boost to their HP, Atk, Spd, Def, and Res.

And here’s the list of maps available (until July 25th):

This special event is the second one where players get to battle against the team of a famous Fire Emblem-related creator… and it looks like it won’t be the last! So far, the two creators featured are illustrators/chara-designers, but hopefully, creators with other roles will also be featured in the future… and maybe, we will also get some guest creators, such as Masahiro Sakurai (a well-known fan of the Fire Emblem series)!
