Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia – VALENTIA COMPLETE: pre-orders delayed in Japan

On Monday, Nintendo launched the My Nintendo Store in Japan: an official store where various games, consoles and goodies can be found, including some exclusives (click here for more details). Unfortunately, its launch has been rather… rocky, to say the least (warning: understatement detected).

Yesterday, Nintendo posted a notice in order to apologise for the issues with the My Nintendo Store, but also to make an announcement regarding the VALENTIA COMPLETE edition of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadow of Valentia.

Pre-orders were originally supposed to start on January 27th (tomorrow), but due to the issues mentioned above, they have been delayed to an unspecified date (that will be announced as soon as possible). Naturally, the game itself or the Limited Edition are not delayed, just the pre-orders.

But more importantly, Nintendo is going to change how pre-orders will work for this Limited Edition. It was initially supposed to use a “first-come, first-served” system, with a limited amount of units available. But now, everyone pre-ordering the Limited Edition during the pre-order period will be able to secure a copy.

By the way, if you’re interested in buying anything on the My Nintendo Store, you should know that you will not be able to do so without a Nintendo Account set to Japan. Also, the store doesn’t ship anything to addresses located outside Japan.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia (3DS) comes out on April 20th in Japan, and May 19th in Europe and North America.
