Etrian Odyssey Nexus: debut trailer and launch edition detailed

Back in August, Atlus announced that Etrian Odyssey Nexus is coming to Europe and North America on February 5th. In case you missed the news, it’s the same game that was released as Etrian Odyssey X in Japan: the very last entry on Nintendo 3DS, and one celebrating the entire series with elements from all past Etrian Odyssey games (classes, gameplay mechanics, etc.). A real treat for fans of the series, but also newcomers!

Yesterday, Atlus shared the debut trailer for the western version of Etrian Odyssey Nexus:

Quite interestingly, the trailer features Japanese voices; it seems that Atlus decided to keep those, and not offer their usual English dub, which is quite unusual (it’s the first time ever for an Etrian Odyssey game).

Also, the company announced that the game is indeed getting the usual launch edition. In North America, all pre-order and launch copies will include the following:

  • the game (obviously!)
  • exclusive art book featuring the incredibly-detailed character art of Yuji Himukai and monster art of Shin Nagasaw
  • a pin featuring Vivian, the adorable innkeeper in Nexus,
  • a special collector’s box

Here’s what it looks like:

In Europe, there will also be a launch edition, but it will only include the artbook… no pin or special box, sadly.

Etrian Odyssey Nexus (3DS) comes out on February 5th in Europe and North America.
