Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: trailer for the Classic Mode

Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight is a remake of the second game in the Etrian Odyssey series. It provides the classic hardcore dungeon RPG experience fans of the series know and love, but with revamped dungeon layouts and improved graphics. Deadly FOEs and random encounters are back, as well as 13 different classes (such as Alchemist, Landsknecht, Protector, Hexer, War Magi, Beast, and Troubadour).

Just like Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millenium Girl, this remake of Etrian Odyssey 2 will have two modes:

– Story Mode, with fixed characters, cutscenes and more
– Classic Mode, with total freedom with character creation, character customisation with Grimoire Stones. Provides an experience as close to the original.

What’s more, the game will have an option allowing players to switch from the Classic BGM to the special arrangements made specifically for this remake.

Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight (3DS) comes out this Summer in North America, and in Early 2016 in Europe.
