Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: trailer for Chloe and Town Development

With just a few days left until release in North America, Atlus USA revealed the latest two videos for Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight yesterday evening. The first one is about the last character for your party in Story Mode: Chloe. She’s a War Magus who can wreck havoc among enemy ranks with her debuffs.

When equiped with a sword, her War Edge skills allows her to apply a debuff which reduce enemy Attack or Defense for 7 turns, as long as that very enemy has an ailment. As you can imagine, this will come extremely handy during boss battles, especially when combined with the Ad Nihilo skill from the Sovereign (which converts the debuffs into Almighty damage, on their last turn).

The second video is about Town Development, which is another major element of the game. By spending your hard-earned En to improve the various facilities around the village, you can attract more customers. By attracting more customers, you will not only get more money via your marketing campaigns, but you will also attract better potential trade partners for Grimoire Stones.

Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight (3DS) comes out on August 4th in North America, and February 12th in Europe.
