Roommates

Ratalaika Games have announced their latest game for the Nintendo Switch: Roommates, a Visual Novel developed by Winter Wolves. It will be released on September 4th in Europe and North America, and will cost 19.99€ / £19.99 / $19.99.

Here’s a trailer, some details, the list of key features, and some screenshots for the game:

Welcome to the halls of Latin House! The best dorm (that you can afford) at the greatest college (that would accept you) in the entire country (Not counting the parts that aren’t here). Okay, maybe we’re overselling it.

Play as either rock god Max or book smart Anne as they make their way through the first year of their college experience. Between bitter tenured professors and a ridiculously distracting student body, it’s going to take everything they’ve got just to make it to year two.

They’ll share their dorm life with four other tenants as they pick their class load, pick their jobs, and maybe even pick someone to have a little extra curricular fun with.

Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure

Stuck in Attic have announced that they are bringing Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure to the Nintendo Switch. It will be released on October 28th in Europe and North America.

Here’s a trailer, some details, and the list of key features for the game:

Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure follows detective Don R. Ketype, librarian Buzz Kerwan, and his cat who mysteriously just started talking (and predictably isn’t too happy about it). On the hunt for the Necronomicon before it falls into the wrong hands, the three embark on a quest to stop an evil cult in its tracks, and most importantly, make a very cynical cat stop talking.

Now also coming to the Nintendo Switch in time for a spooky, moody Halloween playthrough, Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure will be the perfect game to get in the mood for Halloween. Lovingly hand-painted and traditionally animated, this comedy cosmic horror adventure will take players through a colourful rendition of Transylvania as it was meant to be experienced: with a talking cat who’s quite annoyed at you.

  • Over 60 hand-painted, detailed environments inspired by Transylvanian architecture and nature
  • Fluid traditional 2D animation
  • Two protagonists and a talking ca– Okay, three. Three protagonists
  • 70+ fully voiced characters, including a special guest appearance by Doug Cockle, voice of the Witcher
  • A lush original soundtrack featuring live instruments
  • Integrated hint system to help you when you’re stuck
  • Lovingly made near Vlad the Impaler’s birthplace
  • No cutesifying or making fun of the Old Ones, praise their Dark Names
  • Did we mention the talking cat?
