Lonely Mountains: Downhill – Eldfjall Island DLC
Thunderful have announced that Lonely Mountains: Downhill is to get some DLC later this year. It will add the Eldfjall Island (no need to look it up on Wikipedia: it’s a fictional one!), which promises to be the largest one in the game.
Here’s a trailer, some details, and the list of key features for the DLC:
Eldfjall Island is the game’s largest mountain to date, and comes complete with brand-new challenges for each of its four trails. Players will be able to unlock new outfits, paint jobs, and accessories all while racing down the mountain as quickly as possible to climb up the leaderboards. Additionally, new special effects will make the journey even more intense than ever before with thunderstorms and an active volcano!
- 4 new trails with new challenges and resting spots
- New special effects: Ride through a Thunderstorm and navigate alongside an erupting volcano
- Satisfy your inner Viking and unlock unique outfits, helmets, and paint jobs
- Upgrade your existing outfits with the new pro helmet
- Complete your fashion style with new unlockable backpacks
- Make your name famous on the leaderboards!
But that’s not all! A free update will also be released, adding Daily Rides for players interested in some competition:
Introducing Daily Rides where players will compete cross-platform for the top spot on the daily leaderboard. Each day a trail will be selected randomly with new obstacles and shortcuts. The daily challenges will take place in a 3 to 8 week season where you can unlock new and unique rewards for participating and be among the top players at the end of a season.

ScourgeBringer
Flying Oak Games have announced that ScourgeBringer will be released on October 21st in Europe and North America.
Here’s the latest trailer, some details, and some screenshots for the game:
ScourgeBringer aims to channel the mystery and rawness of an early rogue-platformer, with fluid control, aerial combat, pixel graphics and a punchy soundtrack. The story follows hero Kyhra, who is sent away to uncover the secrets of an Eldritch monolith which is threatening to destroy her world. Armed with her trusty combat drone, she must shoot and slash her way through the infinite depths of an ever-changing dungeon, wherein gigantic bosses, ancient machines, strange ghosts and untold secrets from previous explorers await.
There is no backtracking, as the game’s structure follows a procedural combination of pre-built challenge rooms, not unlike the Binding of Isaac.
ScourgeBringer (Switch – eShop) comes out on October 21st in Europe and North America.

Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World
Here’s the debut trailer for Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World, along with some details:
For Wonder Boy – Asha in Monster World, the original staff from the former Westone Bit Entertainment gathered together to create a game that stays true to the spirit of the original games. The team is led, and directed, by the creator of the Wonder Boy series, Ryuichi Nishizawa and supported by Shinichi Sakamoto (sound), Maki Ōzora (character design) and Takanori Kurihara (creative management). You can’t get more Wonder Boy than that!
Asha, the warrior protagonist of the game, is involved in a serious incident that will affect the survival of her world. Our green-haired heroine doesn’t have to save the world all alone, and sets off on an adventure with her cute flying friend, the blue Pepelogoo. Asha and the Pepelogoo have to work together to become the heroes the world needs them to be. The road ahead is long – will they be able to save their world?
