The Engine Room: Image & Form share some facts about the Nintendo Switch

Following the reveal of the Nintendo Switch, back in October, Image & Form uploaded a special episode of The Engine Room (their webshow entirely dedicated to the SteamWorld series). They did it in order to confirm that there were indeed Nintendo Switch developers, and that they were already working on something for the platform.

And today, they uploaded another episode of The Engine Room, entirely dedicated to Nintendo’s new console. This one is a Q&A video, and they answer various questions regarding the still-pretty-mysterious Nintendo Switch. Naturally, they do not reveal anything particularly new (no doubt Nintendo wouldn’t appreciate that), but it still makes for a pretty interesting video!

Here’s the latest episode of The Engine Room, “5 Cool Nintendo Switch Facts (and 5 Lame Ones)”:

Here’s the questions they answered in this episode:

  • Is the console powerful? (0:50)
  • What does the the dev kit look like? (1:08)
  • Will Nintendo continue to support Nindies? (1:54)
  • Is the console easy to develop for? (2:33)
  • Are there any additional features? (3:32)

If you’re interested in the “lame” facts, jump to 4:16!

The Nintendo Switch will be released in March, worldwide. We already know that Image & Form is working on a SteamWorld game for it, but we don’t know which one for now.
