Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3: new screenshots focus on Synthesis

Today, Square-Enix shared some additional details and screenshots for Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3. This time, the focus is on Synthesis, which allows you to combine two monsters in order to get an even more powerful creature. You can even repeat the process several times, in order to get even more powerful monsters.

You start by chosing two “parents” to use for synthesing. After that, you can chose what kind of monster you will get, with up to 5 possible creatures. You can chose the monster with the better stats, the better skills, etc.: it’s all up to you! In fact, you can even get the same type of monsters as (one of) the parents: naturally, the resulting monster will be more powerful than both.

Just like in the previous Dragon Quest Monsters games with Synthesis, there’s plenty of possible combinations. Some monsters can only be obtained by making specific combinations, including some very powerful ones. But that’s not all: the monsters you get via Synthesis can also retain the skills of their “parents”, which allows you to create powerful monsters to suit your playstyle.
