Dr. Mario World: Events and Content Updates [Launch to September 2019]

Just like Fire Emblem Heroes, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, and Dragalia Lost, Dr. Mario World will be a Free 2 Start game. That means it’s going to get new contents and various events on a regular basis, in order to keep players engaged and make sure they keep playing the game as long as possible. On this page, we have listed all the Events and Content Updates for the game from launch to September 2019, so that you can find all you need to know in one place, allowing you keep up to date easily.

February 1st

  • [Event] Dr. Mario World was announced today for Android and iOS, with release slated for early Summer in 60 countries around the world. Check out this post for more details!

June 18th

  • [Event] Pre-registration for Dr. Mario World is now live on Google Play and the App Store. Unfortunately, it does not look like there’s any bonus to unlock once a certain number of pre-registrations has been reached… (available until July 10th)

July 9th

  • [Event] Dr. Mario World is now available on Android and iOS in 60 countries around the world. More details about the game, including the list of countries, required device specs, and more can be found in this post!
  • [Events] The Welcome Event is now live. While it’s running, flying ? blocks will appear on the world map (only in stages you haven’t cleared yet), and clearing a stage with a ? block above it will net you some rewards (available until July 18th)
  • [Store] A Special Pack is now available in the Store: Diamond x75 (50 + 25 bonus) (can only be purchased once, available until July 18th)
  • [Assistants] The following Assistants are now available from Battle Boxes: King Bob-omb (Tier 3 or higher), Banzai Bill (Tier 5 or above) (no end date)
  • [Log-in Bonus] Every day, you can redeem a free gift at the Store (refreshes every 20h, no end date)
  • [Main Story] The first 5 worlds are now available, with more to come at a later date (no end date)

July 10th

  • [Updates] The latest Software update for the game is Ver. 1.0.2, and it’s available now. Check out this page for more details!
  • [Log-in Bonus] There was an issue causing players not to receive rewards when going up a tier, or preventing them from using those correctly. This issue has now been fixed. As compensation, players can claim the following as special Log-in Bonus depending on the tier they reached before the issue was fixed: 1 000 Coins (Tier 2), 4 000 Coins (Tiers 3), 4 000 Coins + Staff Ticket x1 (Tier 4), 4 000 Coins + Staff Ticket x2 (Tier 5) (no end date)

  • [Updates] The latest Software update for the game is Ver. 1.0.3, and it’s available now. Check out this page for more details!

July 23rd

  • [Issues] The developers are currently working on a fix for the following issues:
    • Becoming unable to progress after clearing a stage
    • While in the middle of a match, players suddenly lose the match
    • An invisible wall manifests in a completely blank area
    • Players eliminate all viruses, but new viruses do not appear
    • Even as time passes, blocks do not appear from above and the area does not get smaller, making it impossible to win or lose
  • [Log-in Bonus] As compensation for the various connectivity issues since launch, all players who started playing before today can claim the following as special Log-in Bonus: diamond x40, heart x10, staff ticket x3 (available until August 6th)

  • [Events] A new event is now live: Collect Clear Stars! Collect lots of Clear Stars in order to earn lots of rewards (you need to have cleared Level 20 to participate) (available until August 1st)

  • [Updates] The latest Software update for the game is Ver. 1.0.4, and it’s available now. Check out this page for more details!
  • [Log-in Bonus] As compensation for the issues that have been impacting the game, all players who started playing the game before today’s update can claim the following as special Log-in Bonus: Diamond x20, Staff Ticket x2 (available until August 19th)

August 6th

  • [Log-in Bonus] As compensation for the unplanned maintenance that took place on August 5th/6th, all players who started playing the game before the maintenance started can claim the following as special Log-in Bonus: Heart x10 (available until August 20th)
  • [Issues] There is currently an issue with save data in Ver. 1.0.4 of the game. After launching the game, or getting an error code, it may look like your save data has been reinitialised. Developers have confirmed that this is an issue with the game reading the save data, and ask players encountering this error to avoid deleting the app / their save data, and simply try again later. More details about the issue will be shared at a later date.

August 7th

  • [Updates] The latest Software update for the game is Ver. 1.0.5, and it’s available now. Check out this page for more details!
  • [Stage Mode] A brand new world for the Main Story, World 6, has been added. It features 20 new stages, bringing the total of stages to 220. Clearing it nets you a new Assistant: Bob-omb (no end date)
  • [Doctors] Three new Doctors are now available: Dr. Wario, Dr. Daisy, and Dr. Waluigi. Also, the following Assistants have been added to the game: Monty Mole, Thwomp, Fuzzy, Mechakoopa (no end date)
  • [Log-in Bonus] As compensation for the various issues that have impacted the game in the past few days, all players can now claim the following as Special Log-in Bonus: Diamon x40, Staff Ticket x2 (available until August 21st)
  • [Issues] There is currently an issue impacting the Monty Mole’s Skill, causing it not to trigger when he’s set as the second Assistant. As a workaround, you can set himl as your first Assistant for the Skill to work properly. This will be fixed in an upcoming update.

  • [Stage Mode] A brand new World has been added to Stage Mode: World 6. It includes 20 new stages (stages 241 to 260). If you clear it, you will get a new Assistant: Shy Guy! (no end date)
  • [Doctors] New Doctors have been added to the: Dr. Baby Mario, Dr. Baby Luigi, and Dr. Baby Peach. Some Assistants have also been added: Boomerang Bro, Chain Chomp, Fly Guy, Dolphin (no end date)
  • [Events] A new Event is now live: Collect Clear Stars! While it’s running, you can receive various rewards by collecting clear stars (available until September 12th)
  • [Issues] There is currently an issue impacting one of Dr. Baby Skill (generates four matching-color capsules in a row). If it’s used right after a rainbow capsule is generated, the capsule right after it does not become a matching-color capsule. This issue will be fixed in an upcoming update.

  • [Stage Mode] A new Area has been added to World 6 of Stage Mode. It includes 20 new stages (stages 261 to 281). Clearing it allows you to get the following reward: Staff Ticket x1 (no end date)
  • [Events] A new Event is now live: Collect Clear Stars! While it’s running, you can receive various rewards by collecting clear stars (available until September 26th)

  • [Events] A new event is now live: Eliminate the viruses! Eliminate viruses to get various rewards (available until October 2nd, with rewards available until October 5th)
