Doom releasing on November 10th, developer interview

Back in September, during the latest Nintendo Direct presentation, it was announced that Bethesda was bringing more than just The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to the Nintendo Switch. They have two other games in the works: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, releasing next year, and Doom, releasing on… November 10th!

That just happens to be exactly one week before The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which is releasing on November 17th. After many years without anything on Nintendo platforms, Bethesda is going to release not one but two games on Nintendo Switch, with just one week between the two…

It looks like the company is really hell bent on taking advantage of Black Friday (and the holiday period in general), which is a pretty important period for video games sales. It’s especially true for the Nintendo Switch, as this will be the console’s very first Black Friday and holiday period.

Alongside the release date announcement, Nintendo uploaded a developers interview with the following two people:

  • Hugo Martin (Creative Director)
  • Marty Stratton (Executive Producer)

They discuss the various aspects of this Nintendo Switch version of Doom (developed by Panic Button): Single Player, Multiplayer, and more.

Here’s the video:

Finally, here’s a few screenshots for the game:

Doom (Switch) comes out on November 10th in Europe and North America. The Upcoming Games page has been updated!
