Daily and Indie News (Oct. 25): Exile’s End / Yo-kai Watch

Today’s Daily and Indie News: developer message for Exile’s End, but also…

  • Yo-kai Watch
  • Nintendo eShop
  • Alice in Wonderland

Exile’s End

While it doesn’t have a release date on Wii U (yet), Exile’s End comes out today on Sony platforms. For the occasion, Matt Fielding (developer) posted a message on the game’s official website.

Here’s an excerpt:

Exile’s End is my tribute to the games I enjoyed while growing up. The sense of wonder and mystery of what might come next that was present in those old 8 and 16-bit computer games has stayed with me all this time, and I hope I’ve managed to convey some of that in this story of a reluctant hero facing an incomprehensible threat.

You can click here to check it out (along with the official website itself!).

Yo-kai Watch

Interested in the Yo-kai Watch anime? You can now watch the first two episodes for free from the Nintendo Anime Channel!

Nintendo eShop

Up until now, developers publishing games on the Nintendo eShop have had to go through Nintendo for everything, including sales. But according to Jools Watsham from Atooi, developers can now use a online system to set everything up themselves… and it looks like it’s definitely much faster now. Dementium Remastered will in fact go on sale pretty soon, thanks to that new system!

Alice in Wonderland

Here’s Chapter 5 of the Developer Commentary for Alice in Wonderland on Wii U:
