Daily Briefs (July 7): Pikmin 4 / Shigeru Miyamoto interview / Aqua Moto Racing Utopia

Today’s Daily Briefs:

  • Pikmin 4
  • Shigeru Miyamoto interview
  • Fire Emblem Fates
  • Disney Art Academy
  • Aqua Moto Racing Utopia

Pikmin 4

Last year, Shigeru Miyamoto announced that not only Pikmin 4 did exist, but also that its development was close to completion. But fast forward almost a year later, and we still know absolutely anything about the game… we don’t even know on which platform it will be released, though it’s now obvious Pikmin 4 is not a Wii U game.

Wondering what happened to the game? Unfortunately, Shigeru Miyamoto’s answer to GameRant’s answer doesn’t tell us anything at all, other than Pikmin 4 doesn’t seem to be a priority for Nintendo right now:

Yes, you are right, and we’re working on [Pikmin 4]. So, you know, when we’re in development we have to create a list of priorities and it has been hard to kind of fit that into that list, but we’re hopefully starting to see that on the list now

Shigeru Miyamoto interview

Talking of Shigeru Miyamoto, Kotaku published a rather lengthy but pretty interesting of Shigeru Miyamoto (and Bill Trinen) yesterday. This one isn’t about a game in particular, but instead about how Nintendo makes games. One of the topics discussed in this interview is what makes a Nintendo game “special”. Fire Emblem Fates

Today, Nintendo uploaded the second part of the video tutorial for Fire Emblem Fates. This one is all about multiplayer!

Disney Art Academy

Today, Nintendo uploaded a speed drawing video of Elsa (from Frozen), made with Disney Art Academy (releasing on July 15th in Europe):

Aqua Moto Racing Utopia

Here’s a gameplay video for Aqua Moto Racing Utopia, coming “soon” to Wii U:
